About Derwent Gin

Our distillery takes its name from the river Derwent which has shaped the landscape and life of the Peak District for generations.

The name Derwent in ancient Brittonic means ‘Of the Forest of Oak’ which is why we use oak as a signature element.

Derwent Gin is handmade in an authentic, artisan way in tiny batches using a traditional Portuguese copper alembic pot still.

We only make dry distilled gins with a high juniper content and distinctive botanical combinations.
